A horrifying pedestrian accident claimed the life of a six-year-old Park Hills, Missouri boy early Tuesday evening. The boy, identified as Evan Ketto, was walking near Highway 8 and Highway P in Park Hills on Tuesday, when he was struck by a pickup truck.
The driver of the pickup truck, 42 year-old David Dickerson, of Irondale, was driving east on Highway 8 at around 5 p.m. when he hit young Ketto. Dickerson attempted to swerve and avoid the boy, but tragically, the driver’s side rear-end of his pickup ultimately hit him.
Following the crash, Ketto was severely injured and was airlifted to Mineral Area Regional Medical Center in Farmington, Missouri. He was pronounced dead shortly before 6 p.m. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Ketto’s family and to the entire Park Hill’s community this evening.
