After a horrific mo-ped crash Saturday, a Warsaw, Missouri man is dead while the driver at fault has been arrested. The accident occurred at around 6 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Detroit Street and Center Street in Kosciusko County, Missouri. According to officials, of those involved in the three-vehicle accident, a 61-year-old moped driver suffered from severe head trauma before passing away at the Parkview Memorial Hospital.
The accident supposedly occurred when a car driven by a 34-year-old female approached the intersection just as the light changed to green. A 79-year-old man was in a car that was stopped in traffic under the light, while a sixty-one-year-old was directly in front of him on his mo-ped. The female driver struck the rear of the elderly man’s car, which pushed his car into the mo-ped. This collision caused the mo-ped driver to be thrown off of his vehicle and hit the front windshield of the car. The female driver who caused the accident was arrested on the scene with possession of marijuana while her legal toxicology results are still pending. Our prayers go out to all those who were involved in this unfortunate moped accident.
