A Thursday morning car crash on I-57 left a woman dead and seriously injured one man. According to the Illinois State Police, Chezron Marie Anderson, 48, of Georgia was killed in the crash, which took place near the 87th mile marker of I-57 northbound. Winfred Payne, 66, was driving the vehicle. Authorities say that Payne was approaching a tractor-trailer from the passing lane.
