In a collision reported Friday evening on US 67 south in Jefferson County, two people were left seriously injured. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the driver of the first vehicle, Sherri Price, was in the right lane of US 67 in a Chevrolet Malibu traveling south. The driver of the second vehicle, David Prosser, of Desoto, was in the left lane in a Chevrolet truck, when Price attempted to change lanes and struck the rear of Prosser’s vehicle.
Prosser, 46, sustained serious injuries from this unfortunate car accident, and was taken to Mercy Jefferson Hospital by ambulance. Sherri Price, of Cadet, Missouri, was also transferred to Mercy Jefferson Hospital with injuries. The two were immediately injured as both vehicles flew off of the left side of the roadway and overturned in the median. Fortunately both drivers were wearing seat belts, but that was not enough to protect them from injuries. The damage to both of the vehicles is noted as totaled.
