After a car crash that occurred Tuesday morning, two Jefferson City residents were left injured. According to officials, the two-car accident occurred at around 9 a.m. near Route C and Missouri 179. The investigation showed that the 83-year-old driver failed to stop at a red light and then turned in front of a 59-year-old driver. Thus, the driver that failed to stop at the stop light struck the other driver’s vehicle in the driver’s side. Fortunately, both drivers were wearing their seatbelts although they are both being hospitalized for injuries.
