Following a horrific head-on car accident, a Chesterfield, Missouri woman was arrested and charged with a DWI and assault. The 50-year-old driver was driving the wrong way on I-64 near Timberlake Manor Parkway in Chesterfield when she crashed into another car Wednesday night. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers, the driver failed a sobriety test and provided additional evidence of her intoxication.
The car that the drunk driver collided with flipped into the path of an oncoming tractor-trailer, which hit the car again before it left the road and smashed into a sign. The 23-year-old victim from Hazelwood, Missouri is currently in serious condition. The driver of the 18-wheeler was fortunately not injured in the crash.
