Two separate water accidents occurred Saturday in which an Illinois woman and a Columbia teen were injured. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Water Division, the first accident which happened at around 2:00 p.m. occurred when a 66-year-old woman who was standing in the front portion of her boat became airborne and was thrown to back of her 1993 Nordic. The woman was thrown because of the close proximity of another boat, which forced the Nordic driver to swerve. The second accident, which occurred later in the day, was attributed to a wake that caused a Columbia teen to be ejected from her kneeboard. Prayers go out to both of the injured females as they recover.
