One Killed, Two Injured in St. Louis Car Wreck

Thursday evening’s two vehicle accident killed one and seriously injured two others.  The driver of a Pontiac lost his life Thursday, after his vehicle was T-boned by the driver of a Ford Explorer, who fled the scene of the tragic car crash at Branch Street and North Broadway. The deceased was identified as Marcus Dorsey, a 53 year-old resident of Gustav Avenue. The at-fault driver, who was both arrested and treated for injuries, has not yet been identified.

According to officials, the driver of the Ford Explorer had fled the scene of an earlier crash with a License Collector’s vehicle just one mile from where the fatal crash took place.  Following the first car wreck, the driver of the city vehicle called 911 and attempted to follow the Explorer.

Officials believe that the driver was traveling east on Branch Street, ran a stop sign, and then slammed into Dorsey’s vehicle at North Broadway Street.

Following this horrific car crash, the driver and the two passengers were trapped in the Pontiac, and had to be removed by paramedics.  The 62-year-old male front passenger is currently listed as in serious condition.  The 35-year-old male in the back seat is similarly still being hospitalized in critical condition.  Unfortunately, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene of Thursday’s car crash.

Prayers go out to the family and loved ones of Marcus Dorsey and of the injured passengers involved in this absolutely tragic car crash.
